About Faith

I am a follower of Jesus Christ, saved by His mighty and powerful blood. I am redeemed, and I love to tell others of my redemption!

I was born on July 3rd, 1993 to parents Robert and Judy, and siblings Melody and Richard. As the years went on, God added five more children to my family for a total of eight children: Grace, Hope, Harmony, Arthur, and Christiana. My sister Melody has married a wonderful man, who is just like a brother to me, named Donald, and they now have three children, Danielle, Timothy, and Hannah. My brother Richard has married a sweet lady, named Sophia, and they have two beautiful little girls name Tirza and Elizabeth.

My father is a preacher, and for as long as I can remember, he was pastoring a church. So yes, I was brought up in a strong Christian family. At the age of 4, I began asking questions about salvation, but it was not until I was 5 years old, on May 14, 1999, that I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior. It was a stormy night, and before going to bed, we watched the weather channel. They said we were going to have tornadoes in our area that night. I went to bed scared, because I knew that if we died, everyone was going to heaven except me; everyone older than me being Christians, and everyone younger than me too young to understand. I went to my dad that evening telling him that I wanted to invite Jesus into my heart.

Life has not been "easy as pie" since then. The Lord has taken me through a lot of change. I struggled a lot with reading my Bible faithfully, and also struggled a lot with anger, and allowing the joy of the Lord to fill my heart. My dad could tell whenever I did not read my Bible and would say "Faith, you need to go read your Bible." I would read it, because he told me to, but not because I wanted to.

August 2007, I had a life changing experience. At the age of 14, I attended Journey to the Heart (through IBLP), which is a retreat where you focus on drawing closer to God, and work on changing your heart to make it more like Christ's heart. I realized I had a bitter, ungrateful, and angry heart. I spent a lot of time in Bible study, memorization, and even fasting and praying. One day, we went on a five-mile prayer walk. That changed my life, and Jesus became real to me. I had some unconfessed sins in my life that after confessing them to my father, set me free. My father says that I came back from the Journey a changed person.

I have still had my rough moments since then, but the Lord has used them all to work His perfect work in my life, and draw me ever closer to Him. He continues to be patient with me, and work in each area of my heart to cause me to surrender everything to Him. After all, to Him who gave His life for me, should I not be willing to give my all for Him?

I have had a love for music from an early age. My mother started me on piano lessons in June of 1998. I graduated from high school in May 2011, and then finished my undergraduate work in August of 2014, graduating with my Bachelor of Arts in Music (piano performance) in December of 2014. I currently run my own private music studio of about 25 students, teaching both piano and violin lessons. When the opportunity arises, I also play the violin with the Brazos Chamber orchestra, and accompany/perform on the piano. I am the owner and photographer for Forever Faithful Photography. Aside from my music and photography, I love to cook, sew, design dresses, crochet, take care of children, and mentor young ladies, which the Lord has allowed me to do more of this last year. I hope to someday be a wife to a man of God, and work alongside him in ministry, and to be a mother to many children, and raise up a godly generation.

My life verses are:
Galatians 2:20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
1 Corinthians 15:10 "But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."

Jesus means ALL the world to me, and I love Him more than ANYTHING else!! If you do not know Jesus, please contact me, and I would be more than happy to tell you all about Him! He is amazing, and He loves YOU very much!
